The ground to neutral voltage

We are often received call from our client that they need the zero or less than 2 voltage difference between ground to neutral. After receiving this type of call we have solved several case for this type of scenario. Many electrical appliance like Air Conditioner, VRF etc. are required minimum voltage difference between ground to neutral. Because this type of appliance are voltage sensitive and required constant and balanced voltage level. Without maintain this controlled voltage this appliances could not perform well and its efficiency also fallen due to unbalanced voltage.

Why this the voltage difference increased between ground to neutral?

Under ideal conditions, you would never see such a voltage difference between ground to neutral. Because both terminal has to be in zero volt theoretically, so the voltage difference is also zero. But in practical condition we observe some voltage in neutral terminal of the electrical system. This voltage produces due to the imbalanced load in the system. We could ensure the balanced winding in generator part but we could not achieve 100% balance load. So practically we found some voltage in neutral terminal which results the voltage between the ground and neutral.

How to terminate the Ground to Neutral Voltage

To reduce the ground to neutral voltage we can taken several measures. We can prepare a proper load chart and try to distribute the load equally for all three phase as much as possible. The minimum the load difference will resultant the minimum voltage in neutral terminal. We need to ensure the proper grounding for our electrical system.
